Commentary
This clip was just a quick insight into the design process for a quick logo. I like the futuristic music at high intensity it really makes this process exciting. The visual element is set in a time-lapse scenario to watch an idea build from scratch to a small masterpiece. There was no commentary however it wasn’t needed because the visual aspect worked well with the music chosen.

Reflection

Today we spend a lot of time coming up with designs for this week’s task to create suitable applications for our Ten Squared Exhibition logo. I found in hindsight I wasn’t happy with my creations and could see the different areas in my designs where I would like to improve. The colour scheme seems spot on as did the use of the Brolga. The particular Brolga I used however didn’t come out well after putting it through live trace it looked like it was dead or fossilised.  Also the Papyrus font made it look more like it was from Egypt than Darwin. With a good font and a good Brolga I think it could be great.

  1. Good honest observations on your own work here, which will serve you well as a development tool. I think it's a good plan to be a relatively harsh critic of your own work - it prepares you for the most severe criticism you may get from outside, and keeps the bar high as far as your own standards go.

I agree about the brolga - maybe try to stylize it more, instead of being so literal.

    Good post.
