Commentary
This clip addresses the need for a three-dimensional design tool that allows designers to present their designs in 3D. It shows that by introducing this technology into meetings, communication is much clearer about a proposed design. The new technology also allows for instance changes to the design by simply touching the object and moulding different attributes and colours to it after discussion. I am not sure if this technology yet exists, however we are very close to it becoming reality. Because the finished product is always 3D, this new technology can communicate this far more effectively than a three dimensional drawing can.

Reflection

I have decided to change my idea once again for my 3D design Exhibition. It will still be a coffee table but instead of being a fridge or esky base, it will now be simply made of irrigation products. This design will be aimed at the outdoor furniture market and be strong yet lightweight plastic with possibly a Perspex lid. It will be easy to move around the yard and I may even use the same brand of products so I can send a photo to the manufacturer to show them what their products can be used as alternative outdoor furniture.

  2. Brilliant. That BiTronics red car thing omg! Bit Star Trek but imagine if it were real. It wasn't quite clear how a few simple hand gestures created something so detailed and accurate, but we shouldn't let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Thanks for the update on your 3D project - sounds quite doable.

    Good blog again Mr. Blogstar.
